AVID
AVID stands for: Advancement Via Individualized Determination, Castle Park Middle School offers AVID as an elective class. The goal of the AVID program at Castle Park Middle is to prepare student for success in high school in order to reach a 4 year university and it targets students who are traditionally underrepresented in higher education. The AVID program uses research-based strategies and curriculum in order to develop students’ critical thinking, literacy and math skills across all content areas.
